Few weeks ago, when I discuss with Joshua on our website profile, I notice that I have not been taken any photos of myself. I always have excuses that I don’t like to be photographed and that is why I am a photographer, who hide behind the camera so that others will not captured my face.. (well, I am not photogenic and handsome, that is why I am camera shy person hahahah) In order to work on our portrait, last weekend, Joshua and I decided to rent a studio for shooting portrait of ourselves for our website profile page.

I am a member of WPJA now…

Great news for me today… WPJA just accepted my membership application. From day one when visited WPJA website and seeing all the great work from their photographer members, I told myself. one day, I would apply membership in WPJA and yes, finally I got it…
well, entering WPJA is just a beginning of wedding photography journey for me….getting awards and recognitions are my next objective..I look at it as a challenge for myself and the way to motivate myself for better images for happy marriage couples thru my eyes..
After past one year’s experience, i still love wedding photography and my passion towards it is growing deeper every day and every single wedding photography assignment
I would like to express my appreciation to Zung, Iskandar, Jenny, Edmund and some of my photographers friends for all your guidance and encouragement, my wedding shooting partner, Stephen for all his support and teamwork and of course my family who supported me all these months when I busy during weekends….

Special Day

Today is a special for me..however, there is no celebration nor any wishes…I am not felling well too, must be some food poison which make my stomach really upset for the past few days. after working hour, I met up with clients and straight head back to home for photos editing.. after all these years, all are meaningless to me. What is important to me, is my family and my career both in full time and wedding photography..

Today’s Technology

Today’s technology could save a human life and could spoil one too. I got my new PDA phone yesterday. When I try to use it this morning, I found that the shopkeeper forgor to syncronize all my mobile contact from my old phone t o new one and here goes all my contact numbers. Now I have to depends on my friends to call me one by one and hopefully they do… on another hand, the new hand phone features GPS which save my time on searching the map and asking people for direction. It safely took me from my house to Batu Arang this morning. Without it, I doubt I could i find the place in time….

human nature

recently, I realise that selfishness is just part of human nature. Too many things happen around me for the past few weeks make me think again on human relationship. Even the person who slept beside you for the past 10 years will do things that you cant even imagine. The person you talk to daily, the partner you work with.. in fact almost everyone you face. Seems that everyone is wearing a mask.No one will disclose how he or she think about you in front of you..If there is someone who do that, it only like once in a while or he/she is really a brave and direct person, make sure you grab him or her as your best friend ever.

The recent changes doesn’t make me sad but the way people around me handle things make me scared and disappointed. I am a person who always give out and non calculative when I treat the person as part of my family or circle of friends. However, this is not how they treated me and think of me  which make me feel down.

I hope it wont change the way I see things and how I handle issue.

ok.. enough complaining.. lets get back to work.. brides are waiting for their photos and my boss is waiting for me to take action on new projects… life still goes on.. human still human, the human nature will never change… this is life…

Came back last night around 2am after shooting. Yesterday is our first experience in wedding shooting during raining day. My partner felt down and injured himself during the process and worst, 2 of his lenses was broken. Well, this is the point when we have 2 photographers, at least I can still continue shooting. The church wedding was cancel due to some misunderstanding between the couple and the Church management and we couldn’t do outdoor portrait due to bad weather. Luckily, we still have some good shoots during the tea ceremony and evening dinner shooting with their cheerful and fun relatives and friends.

Now I am at home editing photos and reading some of my emails. Will be going out soon for another couple shooting today.

New Chapter

Being single again is kinda weird to me, I never think of this situation before but may be this is the best solution at this moment. so,this week is consider a new chapter in my life. After all these years,life is a day in day out routine to me. With these recent new changes, I am not sure how it will goes and lead to me which path.Be it better or worse,all I know is, to survive, to adapt the new environment. Sometime I wonder, why life must be so complicated, so many issues, why cant we live a simple life? why everyone must have selfishness, politics, misunderstanding and war. We are just virus to the mother earth

Spyder2Express (Monitor Calibration)

This is the 3rd time I purchase goods from Shashinki,  Malaysia online camera shop. So far I love their service, on time and professional. Too bad their credit card service is in USD exchange which really not competitive compare to local shops.

As for syder2express, I have been thinking about it for a while, one of PPA members told me, there are millions of monitor screen (be it CRT, projector or LCD) in the world, there is no way we could guarantee that our clients will be able to see the exact same colour, same display as our images displayed on our screen. However, the least we could do is to ensure what shown on our screen is the accurate colours that it should be. This product will calibrate my monitor to ensure this point. Very often I come across our slideshow during wedding dinner venue play back came out totally different colours and some with tinted green or yellowish colours. I really feel dissapointed whenever I am in this situation, just imagine, after the whole morning session shooting and the non stop editing in the afternoon trying to show to the guest on the happening morning wedding day, all we could show is the inaccurate colours images which totally give no impact on the photos at all. Hopefully one day the restaurants and hotel management will able to look into such issues and couples will do a precheck before their actual wedding day with them.

late night posting

Just back from KL Hilton Wedding Dinner Shooting. I was so poisoned by Jenny Sun’s 50mm f1.2 It is awesome gear with no problem at all in term of focusing when come to low light condition.

When I was driving back home, I recall a movie by Hong Kong, it has a theory saying that this whole word is just a dream of god.  When god wake up one day, this whole dream will destroy, and when he is asleep again, another new dream will be created. I think life is just a dream too. One day when you wake up, you might not even remember all the details of the dream..it is just like happening yesterday but some how or rather, you dont know the details…..simple, one question, tell me what you did in year 1998 12th Dec 835pm ? no one would be able to answer it….

 

err what am I trying to say? nothing, just another “day dreaming”
